The McLeod River PCN Edson provides a good support team.
Maggie is my diabetic nurse - I get all my advice from Maggie. Keeps in touch via phone regarding my sugar count when we aren't able to meet in person.
Mandy is my Diabetic foot nurse. Mandy noticed a blister and she sent me to the hospital to get a swab done. By seeing her on a regular basis, she knows the shape of my feet, when an oddity shows up she knows.
Marilyn helps with questions and guidance.
Also see a dietician (Sue) which has been very helpful.
This experience has been very helpful. Very pleased with the services I have received. They are my cheerleaders. I have qualified people that I can trust. They are professionals. More than just the physical help. It is mental support as well.
I have reached out to 811 a handful of times as well, outside of normal business hours. They have been very helpful in providing information and research when I am not able to research myself.
