"Appreciation for Direct Communication"

About: Riverpointe Medical Centre

(as a service user),

I accidently stabbed my hand with a knife. It wasnt very big or deep but I hit the bone and it instantly swelled up and was so painful I couldn't tie my boots. My doctor got me in that afternoon. While I was there he checked my blood pressure because that was something I was struggling with about a year ago. It was 134/84 so not bad but not great for a 34 year old pretty active guy. He was very direct in a nice way and told me if I lost 10 pounds those numbers would be perfect. I appreciate this about him because it makes me more focused on doing what he recommends. I am not hugely overweight but I definitely could stand to lose ten or fifteen pounds. He gave me prescription cream for my hand swelling and its already helping. I really like having him a doctor.
